Kiss FM presenter, Oga Obinna penned down an emotional message for his co-presenter, Kamene Goro during their last show together.
Taking to his Instagram, Obinna described what it was like working with Kamene adding that she has been very supportive and a friend, “Has it been 10 months already? Seems like last week. You welcomed me to @kiss100kenya & made my transition into morning Radio easy; accommodated my Noise, Drama, Scandals, taught me how to be a Babyboy, polished my lingua but above all you WAS my shoulder to lean on when everything was going south. You WAS the only one I could confide in when most of the time the whole world seemed to be against me you were here each morning with warm hugs, smiles, encouragement and cute uncoordinated dances. YOU KNEW MY TRUTH. You knew Steve was a different person from OBINNA.”
Conclusively he said their last show was going to be hard but urged her to finish strong while wishing her the absolute best, “Weh!! Today is a hard show. MY KAMENE, Goodbyes and heartbreaks are the HARDEST. Enyewe nothing lasts forever. Let’s finish on a High. I wish you well and will always be a phone Callaway. Mkiwachana na afande nipigie. One LAST show. 2023 imeanza na mbio mbaya I swear.”
Radio Africa Group CEO confirmed Kamene’s exit on January 19th and that Vybez Radio, Sheila Kwamboka was going to replace her, “Our quest for continuous improvement is tremendous. Sheila Kwamboka better known as Kwambox has joined Radio Africa Group, I’m hoping that Kwambox as an addition will not only give listeners a chance to enjoy bigger, better, more engaging radio but also give advertisers a chance you know to get products articulated and well connected to consumers.”
Kamene during an interview said leaving for her wasn’t easy, “I don’t have anything to say, but again how is my leaving news?” the media personality told NN, “You people should know leaving is not an easy thing, and you should let people be.” Later on she assured her concerned fans she was okay, “Aki jamanii love you all, baby girl ako tu sawa! See you on the other side. Mlale Poa.”
