The rivalry between opposition parties in the country has become more pronounced in the recent past especially after the anti-government demonstrations that saw numerous Kenyans gather to oppose the finance bill.
Recently, Kalonzo Musyoka was disrupted during a meeting held at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation grounds.
Goons barred the Wiper Party leader from speaking.
They further caused havoc in the event as they urged journalists and everyone present to step out at the venue.
”Watu waende nje! Kila mtu aende nje! Watu wa media mtoke nje!,” they shouted.
Kalonzo was evidently shocked by the goons’ approach.

Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna has shared the after math caused by the goons. He stated that journalists were among those who got hurt in the process.
“I have learned of the shocking disruption that happened at the tail end of the Azimio PG this afternoon. I left the PG early for the airport and I’m still unclear as to the circumstances of the incident,” he started off.
“I’ve spoken to the chair of the political journalists association Rawlings Otieno who confirms two journalists and a driver from one of the media houses were roughed up in the melee at the Azimio PG. As we await word from the Coalition, I’m taking steps to ensure they are OK. This incident is highly regrettable,” Sifuna added.
The goons’ behaviour was further condemened as the leaders contemplated on taking legal actions against the goons.
“I unreservedly condemn this uncouth behaviour and hope that the coalition takes action against those responsible.”
The goons are yet to be identified for action taken against them. The latter takes place at a period when the government is in dialogue with opposition leaders to share a way forward on government reforms that may help to curb the protests.
