Kenyan YouTuber and comedian Oga Obinna has explained how his YouTube channel ended up being blocked.
Speaking in a sit-down podcast interview with Iko Nini, Obinna revealed that he realized that his YouTube had been blocked when he tried using his director’s YouTube channel, and it worked moments after his refused to go live as he normally does when he has a guest to interview.
He probably thought it was because he was hosting Babu Owino on the show.
“The Obinna TV, It was around that time when I got the letter from KFCB. I made some wrong decisions… It was Babu Owino’s time; tulienda live, then wakablock… I hosted people the whole day; we are live, and it was good. Time, ya Babu Owino tushamaliza tumekaa chini, it was not doing the thing it does… We restarted the whole computer—nothing; we went to Obinna, all my channels, but it was not working like it was literally showing nothing.
But when my director tries on his YouTube channel, it works; this was before Maandamano.” Obinna disclosed.
Obinna however advised Mwafreeka and the public to have a backup channel just in case something of this sort happens to them.

Reasons channels or accounts can be terminated:
YouTube can only block you account if you do the following:
Repeated violations of the Community Guidelines or Terms of Service across any form of content (like repeatedly posting abusive, hateful, and/or harassing videos or comments.)
A single case of severe abuse (such as predatory behaviour, spam, or pornography)
Dedication to a policy violation (like hate speech, harassment, or impersonation)
What happens when such incidents occur is that you are notified of a channel termination through a termination email or upon signing in to YouTube Studio. In the event of a termination, you may lose access to your Studio Dashboard and other features, but you can still access YouTube, but some features won’t be accessed.
