Kenyan Artist based in the County of Mombasa, Nyota Ndogo has brushed off claims that she falls amongst the richest people in Mombasa.
She released a video to online saying that she will not take ownership of the said claims that she is rich and disclosed that she doesn’t have what it takes to be in that list.
She went on questioning how those people who do the shortlisting of people like what they specifically use in saying that one is rich because, according to her, she doesn’t have money.
“Eti mimi tajiri katika Wasanii wa Mombasa eti mimi number mbili…. hivi account yangu yasoma zero sijui hao hua wanatabiri matajiri vipi…..Jameni mwenyewe nina stress ya pesa sina pesa…mnaniweka tajiri namba mbili.”
She also added that this same people are putting their lives under threat because once the public knows that someone has been featured as the richest one in the county or whichever place, you automatically become a target, and you cannot live your life in peace.
She even opted that it would’ve been even fair If they listed her as the least earning at the bottom list.
“Please msituhatarishie maisha yetu mimi sitaki mambo haya hata mngeniweka namba wa mwisho huko tajiri mombasani.
Majambazi wakishasoma mimi tajiri namba mbili.. naanza kuandamwa… enyewe gari kutia mafuta balaaaaa…..”
She then concluded with saying that she shouldn’t even be included in that list, leave alone featuring in the richest ones. Making it public to all bandits with any intentions of raiding her to not do so, as she has nothing and works hard as any other normal human being with no title.
Nyota Ndogo is known for her hit song “Kuna watu na Viatu” amongst many other songs.
