‘No matter how people criticize my hairstyles and dressing, my purpose remains clear’- Charlene Ruto

President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, has shared how she manages to navigate the often-toxic online space where she frequently faces criticism and abuse.

Charlene has been criticized on several occasions for her hairstyle (wigs) and dress code.

Known for her vocal support of her father and his administration, Charlene has become a target for online trolls. The backlash intensified during the recent debates over the Finance Bill.

In a social media post, Charlene attributed her resilience to her passion for working with young people. She revealed that her sense of purpose and fulfillment from her work help her to overcome the negativity she encounters online.

”No matter what names people call me, the insults they hurl at me, or how they criticize my hairstyles and dressing, my call and purpose are so clear in my heart that it doesn’t matter,” she stated.

Charlene has previously faced criticism for her public role, with some questioning her influence on her father’s decisions. However, she remains steadfast in her support for the president.
