The Tukutane Festival Team wrote a note to the public and said that they had it all planned, quoting their exact words. “As at three days ago, all was going according to the schedule and plan. We paid for Tems in full 15 days before the performance date and to our surprise as soon as the payment was made, her manager mentioned that she is no longer comfortable coming to Kenya and just does not want to perform for her Kenya fans. We were shook, heart broken and financially wounded,”

The promoters of the Festivals took to apologizing to the public for the shortcomings and assuring them that they are looking forward to working it out and make the festival date public soon, as it has been postponed until further notice.
As they concluded with emphasizing that people should all work as a team as everybody plays their part or rather role and that encouraged artists that they be cautious with the decisions they make based on their career as they might affect their lives and others who might be involved.
