Eliud Wekesa famously known as “Yesu Wa Tongaren” has pleaded with the Kenyan Government especially the DCI that’s taking in false preaches to not apprehend him.

Speaking to the Media, Yesu wa Tongaren who happens to be the leader of New Jerusalem said that he is innocent and is only preaching the word of God nothing more. He although commended the DCI officers saying that they are doing a great job and people should be arrested only when they are wrong.

“Na Iwapo nitakamatwa…..Watakua tuh wamenionea… maaana mimi na hubiri tuh injili…”

(And if it all it happens that they end up arresting me…. They will be the ones on the wrong because I am Innocent and all I do as I had said earlier is preach the word of God only!)

“Maana hapa kwa DC nimekuwa, OCPD nimekuwa kwa madam OCS nimekuwa lakini sinako jambo lolote.”

He said that he clearly understands what the Bungoma Commander (Francis kooli) who summoned him is doing only that he should have a discussion with him first so that he also realizes that what he is doing is not wrong and he means well.

“Pia huyo commander aniulize vile kulingana na hali ya kanisa…….. vile mambo yanaendeshwa. Huenda wanaskia mambo ambayo hayako.”

The Bungoma Commander said that he only called him so that they can have a conversation with him in the sense that they ensure that his religion is not misleading people and also get to know how his religion operates.

He went on saying that they are doing so because of the high public demand that wants to understand if Tongaren’s religion is safe.

The self proclaimed messiah dismissed claims that his religion is biased and has some cult practices saying that he only does what is in the word and this can be testified by some of the people who have fellowshipped with him or paid his church a visit.

“Ni uongo…Ni uongo wananiwekea……”

He insisted that the law only detains those who are guilt and not the ones who have not done wrong.
