Kenyan comedian Dj Shiti has narrated the things that Nairobi City has taught him.
Speaking in an interview session with our host, Miss Kithinji, on the Buzz with Stars show, he listed three things that Nairobi has taught him, which are that Nairobi is a land of opportunity, it is full of snakes (people can’t be trusted) and that Nairobi has taught him to stand alone and depend on himself without relying on anyone.
He went on to say that Nairobi is a place where you get to meet a number of different people who become more than family, and despite the fact that some cannot be trusted, there are those that truly become family because of how kindhearted they are.
He commended Eddie Butita for connecting him with Abel Mutua, who linked him with Churchill, where he got a chance to build his career and work on his talent. It was from this that Dj Shiti got popular and grew his brand.
“Eddie Butita connected me to Abel Mutua, who connected me to Real House with the help of Kawangware and the story Continues.” Dj Shiti shared.
He also acknowledged Churchill for giving him a platform to build his career and be able to identify his potential in his craft, adding that exposure taught him quite a number of things that have helped him in the long run.
According to him, any platform that comes across anyone is a learning process and should be embraced as it is. He also shed some light on what ‘Bro Code‘ slang means, saying those are people who connect you to life-changing opportunities like jobs.
