Nairobi Police Boss Adamson Bungei Assures The Public Of Safety Ahead Of Azimio Rally

Published on

The boss in charge of policemen, Adamson Bungei, has assured the public of guaranteed security ahead of the ongoing Azimio Rally.

Speaking to the press earlier today, he said that he has dispatched a team that will be overseeing the whole event and the public has got nothing to worry about.

“We are on the ground to ensure the rally is peaceful. We will provide the needed security.”

The street demonstrations were called off so that a peaceful negotiation could take place, representing and addressing the grievances of the residents.

The Opposition team was demonstrating their desire for the Kenya Kwanza Government to look into the urgent matters they presented to them, which are reducing the high cost of living, stop restructuring the IEBC team and opening the IEBC servers, which has been their song for the past 3 months now.

Azimio Coalition Leader Raila Odinga

Raila Odinga, who is out of the country in Poland, is expected to return to the Country today to address his gathering.

President William Ruto

Even though the President doesn’t advocate against the Azimio team protesting, he urged them to do it peacefully and refrain from destroying public and private property.

“I have no problem with Raila Odinga. I have no problem with him organizing protests. I have just asked Raila and the company not to engage in violence and destruction of property. This is all because we are a democracy.”
