The viral Birdman who goes by the name Rodgers Oloo Magudha, has shared an update regarding the promise that Kenyan YouTuber Oga Obinna made to him during the men’s mental health awareness at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.

Through a video shared online by a TikToker, Nairobi Birdman urged Oga Obinna to not disappoint the street kids and the public that is looking up to him to keep the promise he made, which was to gift him a piece of land and help him build a house.
“Kitu ningetaka kuambia Obinna ni aty ile time yenye walinipromise huko na Dem wa Facebook, street kids walifurahia sana, ningependa kumwambia asi wadisappoint juu kila mtu ashajiposition already yaani they’re happy because hata saa hii wananiulizanga project yetu imefika wapi.”
Even though many were saying otherwise, telling Birdman that he might just not get what he was promised, he dismissed the claims, saying he trusts Obinna and that when the right time comes, he will do just as he had promised.
“Mambo ni mdogo mdogo, mimi na believe, Niliona land already tukiwa na Obinna, but the land is under real estate transfering tuh ndio itatake time,
He explained further that what Obinna was going to give him was a gift, and he saw no point in following it up with him because it was not like it was his right.
“So mimi niko patient na wait… Mtu akikuambilia kitu si lazima umufuatilie unangojea tuh juu yeye ndio anakupea nangoja mambo ikue ready ndio niende.”
Why He Was Gifted Land
The young man caught the attention of Kenyans due to his unique nature of walking around with two golden eagles and a crow perched on both his shoulders and head as well as the bird’s attachment and loyalty towards him was awarded a piece of land in Konza City.
The essence of gifting him the land is to support his well-being and help him get off the streets.
Back then during the Men’s mental health awareness Obinna made it clear that he would be accompanying the land gift Birdman was to be given with 10 iron sheets to help Magudha build his house. To top it off he also revealed Kisii County MCA, Brenda Moraa had also pledged to add 10 more iron sheets to help Birdman start off his construction. That is yet to be seen as Birdman said he has not been communicated to yet, he however believes it will be a surprise and is very patient awaiting.
