Jowie Irungu’s mother has defended her son despite the court’s ruling that her son will be imprisoned for life.
The final verdict that was made earlier today in the high court ruling that Jowie Irungu is guilty of the murder of Monica Kimani has shocked the public.
Her mother, who briefly spoke to the press just outside the court after the ruling was made, confidently assured the public that the court’s decision doesn’t count according to her, and she believes in a God of miracles who gives people a second chance, and her son will be released soon as she will keep believing and praying without seizure, remarking that her son doesn’t deserve detention as he is very innocent
My son is innocent; hajaua mtu yoyote, na ndio naamini there’s a God of a second chance na atamtoa…ndio maana unaona niko na nguvu hivi. wakati wa mungu ukifika atamtoa
Their lawyer, said that Jowie was purportedly linked to the death of Monica Kimani because Monica’s drop of blood together with Monica’s DNA was found on the shorts. They believe Jowie had his own, refuting claims that Jowie had the same shorts that Monica had.
