Mwende Macharia Responds To Azziad’s Decision To Walk on her

Popular Radio Maisha Presenter Esther Mwende Macharia has addressed a studio drama that unfolded on Wednesday, June 22nd 2023.

Mwende addressed Azziad’s decision to walk out on her in a live interview, saying that she was only doing her job and Azziad’s decision was just something she opted to do because she is young and is still learning how to deal with negativity.

“That’s what we call occupational hazards in Journalism. They happen from time to time, so it is not the first time. Azziad is a young woman, and maybe the question rubbed her the wrong way.”

What had actually happened is that during the interview on which Mwende Macharia was interviewing the young popular Tiktoker, asking her about the revocation on the talanta Hela creative team on which she responded saying that she wasn’t interested in it. That’s when Azziad stood up and walked out of the room after making the below claims.

” No Comment…. I will honestly walk out of here… We cannot agree not to talk about something, and you go back on it.

If you do not appreciate me as a brand, then I will walk out of here…. Thank you.”

Azziad has been in the spotlight lately, not only for the story on the Talanta Hela revocation but also for her marching shoes with Cabinet Secretary in charge of sports and cultural affairs Ababu Namwamba, which she has refused to talk about.
