Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Kalerwa Salasya has asked Generation Z to nominate him as their representative in Parliament so that he can voice their grievances and be their eyes.

Speaking via a video he shared online, MP Peter Salasya promised that he would make sure he represents their interests in Parliament and see to it that they are implemented.

“Kama hakuna Azimio, the opposition called, Gen Z should nominate me as their representative in Parliament so that mimi nikue opposition mimi ndio narepresent matakwa ya wananchi wako pale chini, na nitapigana sana nitakua searious mpaka mambo yenu isikizwe,” MP Salasya started off.

This comes after Kenya Kwanza Leader President Ruto appointed ODM members into his cabinet. Salasya then decided to voice his opinion upon seeing that some of his party members have joined the Kenya Kwanza Government. He has now resorted to supporting Gen Z so that they too are not persuaded, just as some ODM members have been.

“Lakini mambo ya Azimio, Mambo ya Azimio ishakufa Azimio ishakufa mimi ndio nawaambia…kwa sababu hata Raila ashaingia kwa Government.” Peter Salasya said.

Peter Salasya explains further, saying that Kenya’s politics is changing and that, considering Gen Z’s are leaderless, their only hope lies in them nominating him as their representative so that he represents their interests in Parliament.

He, however, applauded the Gen Z movement for making a statement but reminded them to act fast.
