Speaking via her Instagram page, the viral TikToker admitted that she has been receiving hate from the public because of her dark complexion. What hurts her the most though is the fact that the negative energy is coming from her own people.
“Off-late I have been receiving hate for being dark skin! Like mnafanya ikae nikama kukuwa melanin ni hatia, you know it would make sense if ingekuwa wazungu wananiambia hivi, but this is coming from my own people!!!! Yoh siezi danganya that huwa siski vibaya, I do; in fact, at times it breaks me so bad.
Like kwani video moja yenye ilitrend ndio inafanya nianze kupata hizo hate? Tena juu ya color yangu..kwani ni mimi nilijiumba? As long as I am comfortable and happy with my skin, why would it worry you?” Part of Mjaka Fine’s statement read:
In as much as fame is a good thing and it helps you become popular and maybe have numbers and sign business deals with time, it looks to have gotten the better of Mjaka Fine, who is now saying it is becoming hard to deal with the online critics who keep coming at her just because they are jealous that she is doing better than them.
In another slide, still on her Instagram stories, Mjaka Fine (Mitchelle) also revealed that she has also been getting numerous text messages from individuals who are trying to discourage her from doing content creation; according to her, some were even trying to add her mother in the picture just to try and demotivate her, but she has stood firm, confirming that nothing they say will make her stop doing content.
“Some people even have the guts. Ya kukuja inbox yangu kuniambia vile naboo sijui ati hakuna pahali hizi contents zitakupeleka!!! Chill, I do what makes me happy, not what makes you happy, and not everyone will flow with my type of shit.
About my color, try to bring me down with something else because hio haitawork. I’m happy and proud.” Mjaka Fine’s statement read:
