Mike sonko has confessed to having battled with bipolar disorder for years now that as it is a hereditary condition.

The former Nairobi governor revealed this during his visit to Mathare hospital where he had gone to visit journalist Kimani Mbugua.

Speaking on his experience with the condition, Mike Sonko revealed to have also passed it down to one of his daughters…however with the right doctors and medication – one is able to live a normal life without the unnecessary psychotic breakdowns.

Mike Sonko went on to speak of his visits to a psychologist that has seen him maintain stability over the years.

Kimani Mbugua

Kimani Mbugua on the other hand is said to have been drugged by a group of friends he used to work with- something that led to his mental breakdown.

His dad during a recent interview revealed that his son reported to have seen the ladies who drugged him pour a white substance inside his drink; leaving him drugged for almost 4 days before he finally lost it.

Since then Mr Mbugua says things changed for his son as he now become bipolar, one minute he is fine, the next he is not.
