Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has issued out some words of advice to young men who want to venture into relationships.
Speaking through his social media page, he urged all young men to consider taking their time when it comes to choosing a life partner.
“To men. Especially young men that are planning to get into marriage soon, remember to choose your wives wisely. Take your time to understand the person you’re dating and planning to settle down with, do a thorough background check on her family and the environment she was brought up in.”
He went on saying that he acknowledges his wife for always sticking with him and even loving those who were not hers as hers.
He shared a practical example of a young man who was turned by his wife when he lost his job, the said wife decided to go out there and roll with other men, up to bringing some on board. When the man discovered what the wife had been doing, he collapsed and died on the spot.
Sonko called out to everyone, especially those in relationships to always know that problems never end and there will be dark days, the best you can do is sit down and talk it through.
Lastly, he told people to consider getting someone who will put them first and stick with them no matter what.
“Get married to an understanding partner, one that respects herself and you, a loyal and honest one. When things fall apart, support one another knowing that problems don’t last forever, they are solved.”
