Kenyan Gengetone artist Mejja Genge has asked for public help after realizing that someone was impersonating him wit a fake account and posting things to just tarnish his good reputation and career.
In a video shared online, Mejja called out the unknown individual, saying that he should be followed up on and detained.
Mejja expressed frustration with the individual who was impersonating him, saying the person has been posting explicit content and even humiliating his good image by exposing all the good people he has ever worked with and even went to an extent of including his daughter in the whole saga.
“Huyu msee amecross the line… ameeka picha za watu nmework na yeye na mwenye niko na picha na yeye anachukua hizo picha anapost vitu sexual anatukana wasee,,,huyo si mimi nataka wasee wajue hivo.” Mejja explained.
He has apparently reported the individual to the authorities and has been issued with an OB number, and the issue is being followed, the purpose for creating the video was to basically create awareness.
He, however, urged people to report the page and shared his official working one, saying that even if the individual in question is close to him, he wouldn’t listen to them, and all he wants is for the long arm of the government to prevail.
He concluded by thanking the support team that has helped him all along.
