Kenyan GengetoneArtist Mejja has urged Kenyans and his fans worldwide to pray for him as he is battling with his throat illness.
Mejja has been out of the music industry because of the condition he has.
While narrating the whole condition on an interview with Mseto East Africa, he said that he had this condition the previous year, when he was forced to perform with it, but the show didn’t turn out as he had expected which in return made him apologize over the same because the performance was not top notch.
The condition has persisted this year, and he disclosed that he went to Avenue Hospital to seek treatment.
He said that at first he thought it was not that serious, but when he tried clearing his throat is the moment he realized that he indeed needed attention because he discovered there were blood spots in his sputum.
“Time Nataka kutafuta kama kikohozi nini.. nitoe ndio nilianza kuona spots za damu, sa hapo ndio nilienda hospitali…hapo ndio nilijua hata kuna daktari wa ENT.”
He visited Avenue Hospital in Parklands where he was examined, and the doctors advised him that he needs time to heal because it is in a state that he was told it shouldn’t be.
He went on narrating that whenever he tried recording, there had to be something that he wouldn’t put out, and so he was advised to stay for like a month without performing nor recording. In other words he shouldn’t be involved too much in talking. Furthermore, he has appealed to Kenyans to remember him in prayers because it is a condition that is not only affecting his career but as well as draining him psychologically.
“Nasema tuh waniombee yaani …. inaniaffect psychologically hiyo mara leo niko na sauti kesho siezi ongea…. uwezi taka ati hivo ndo uliachanga muziki… so saa ile unapiga prayers zako……”
