Kenyan Young Uprising talented individuals Mc GoGo and Dj Daffy have explained how they manage to put on a show that has been loved by many.
The duo clarified that their job is not easy, as they make it look like, there are quite a number of people involved behind the camera that make it all a success.
“You need to have a team that is going to help you in production. It is actually the same way; we are the ones seen in front of the camera, but there’s a lot that happens in the background.
Huezi fanya kila kitu peke yako. Kama unasema ni rahisi, just give it a try; the sleepless night we normally have trying to create a masterpiece is not an easy match. We break down hata sisi wenyewe.” Dj Daffy revealed.
They also recalled a time when one of them almost gave up because they lacked motivation from what they were doing. As much as they were putting in the work, DJ Daffy felt like it was all a waste of time because there were no returns and was thinking of dropping it and trying something else, but luckily enough, MC GoGo was there to encourage him and tell him not to.
“Kuna time nilikua nataka kugive up huyu msee akaniambia nisijaribu. Una put in the work, but hai convert to shillings, but unajitia moyo unajiambia one day it will make sense; that’s wakati inamake sense; it is when you thank God.” Dj Daffy said:.

He insisted that there’s a lot that happens behind cameras, and it is not all about playing the music alone. According to DJ Daffy, as an MC and a DJ, you also need to read the audience’s mood and decide on what you will be playing next. Adding to that, nothing’s easy. “Ingekua ni rahisi tungekua tumetosheka tumelala.”
MC Gogo also emphasized the need for creatives to be consistent in anything they do, as that is the only way they will thrive in their craft and gain returns.
