Kenyan artist and MC Blaze has narrated how Current Lang’ata MP scammed him back when he used to work in a radio station.

Speaking during an interview with our very own Silva kido, he said that he had struck a deal with Jalang’o to help him push his music.

Jalang’o asked Blaze to send him 5,000 so that he pushes his music on a live broadcasting Radio station something he said jalang’o didn’t comply into.

“Jalang’o akiwa radio presenter alinidhulumu nilimpigia simu tukapatana Nairobi tukakaa chini tukazungumza vile tutapush hela….kaka nilituma hela nilituma elfu tano..baada ya hapo nikapigia jalang’o akasema tulia nitakupanga…hakuwahi kupush hiyo ngoma.”

(When Jalang’o used to be a radio presenter he conned me. I called him, struck a meeting where we met at Nairobi and agreed on how he was going to help me by pushing my music…after that we greed with him, and he asked me to send money.

Thats when I sent 5,000. after which I called him and he assured me that all will be well as long as I remain patient, he will sort it out. Until date he never did anything as per what we had agreed)

MC Blaze said that the agreement was that he will help him get interviews and share his music widely. He said that he tried calling him but the radio presenter whose now an MP never picked his call.

His call to him and the public is that Jalang’o and the rest should stop taking advantage of others as it’s wrong ,rather take the opportunity to mentor the young and support them grow.

He also said that the reason as to why Kenyan music is not growing internationally is because of these very acts that presenters do looking down on artists as well as the cartels in the music industry.
