Marya Okoth whose engaged to Kenyan Comedian YY has finally opened up what she went through for five months, not being in a position to walk nor breastfeed her young child.
Speaking on her YouTube channel, Marya Okoth reveals that she struggled with paralysis, which is the inability to move some parts of your body or all of them.
This had her down for 5 months, she said that she had gone to bed after watching a movie only to wake up the next morning to a numb leg.
“I am trying to get out of bed, but my left leg gets so heavy, and I couldn’t feel it, actually.”
She figured out that it’s something small she could do away with, a simple massage.
She then told her Boyfriend of the crisis. Something her boyfriend thought was not serious until she tried confirming it.
“Because, I know she is this kind of woman who loves teasing a lot, I didn’t believe her… When I touched the leg… she was like she wasn’t feeling anything.”
He then responded by calling an Ambulance that rushed her to hospital where tests were run and results came out that she had blood clots on her left leg.
The doctors assured them that she had resumed to normality, but again the leg wasn’t responding.
She was then rushed to the main hospital, where a Computerized Tomography, which shows nothing. And now they were referred to a Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
She was admitted to hospital, which she pushed through and was later discharged.
She kept the whole story silent for a while from revealing it to the public because she said she wasn’t sure about it yet. But now she finally felt like it’s time she tells people and give them hope that whatever they are going through, there’s a living God.
