Martha Wangari Karua, who is a well-known political leader in the Orange Democratic Party as former Raila Odinga’s running mate, has explained why she is okay with being referred to as a grandmother despite her not being so old.
Speaking during an interview with Obinna TV, former Deputy President Contestant Martha Karua said she has no problem with those calling her ‘Shosh’ swahili word meaning granny, saying she is already a proud grandmother to four.
Adding to that, there are so many who call her so, and she is very okay with it because it is actually a good thing.
“Being a shosh is like a second chance at raising children; it is never like your children; it is totally different. And it is a friend; you are not with them all the time; you are literally not the disciplinarian; you are a friend whom they come to, and even when you get to stay with them longer, you are still the shosh.” Martha Karua explained.
