Gen Z artist Trio Mio has released a new song dubbed Tunaoccupy street to demonstrate against the Finance Bill 2024.
His song which aims at the current govt talks of high cost of living not forgetting the new taxes imposed on sanitary pads, bread among others while the common citizen continues to suffer due to lack of employment – hence depending on hand to mouth lifestyle.
In the song he goes on to mock president Ruto’s Hustler manifesto which he says has been a lie and a stunt aimed at luring the common Citizen to work for the govt….benefitting only those in power.
“THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT” NETIZENS REACT AFTER ANONYMOUS’ STERN WARNING TO KENYAN GOV’T
Gen Z power
His song comes at a time Kenyans are witnessing a revolution from Gen Z who refuse to be part of the circus Kenyans have been living since independence.
Unlike millenniums who followed into their parents footsteps by abiding by what the president and govt says, Gen Z has decided to take back power….reminding those in Govt who elected them and why.
The new revolution has so far caught the attention of many globally – a move that has also left some MPs laying low now that it is evident that things will not be as easy as they may have thought.
