Kenyan former media personality Kush Tracey has shared the secret on how to deal with mental illness.
Speaking through a video she shared online, Kush encouraged people to think positively in order to maintain a healthy mental state, arguing that mental illness originates from an individual’s own thinking, perception, and beliefs.
“Weaponize your mind if you can, especially when it comes to emotions. You see, some of the issues of mental health begin in the head, and if it happens that your mind isn’t having positive thoughts, then you may just succumb to depression.”
The renowned artist went on to share an insight on how to have a meaningful life by sharing a couple of tips that she believes, if adhered to, will help make one a better person.
“I am not called to conform to what everyone agrees to, but I’m called to stand, especially when you get an evaluation gift from God. You are expected to walk purposefully. You don’t need to be a trend embracer, but to be a trend setter. Wanting to walk with purpose. Wanting to live with purpose.”
On Friendship Matters
She believes that not everyone is meant to be in your life and even agrees with everything that you say because people are different, and that shouldn’t hold you down, as it should propel you to become the best version of yourself.
“You lose your friends eventually. Not every friend you have is meant to go with you in the next season, and importantly, don’t argue with fools, especially those who choose to have limited beliefs,” Kush shared.
