Kunanyesha Ndani ~ Kenyans Express their Disappointment on Matatus Leaking inside

Nairobians have shared their disappointment with some other public vehicles that are unroadworthy and banned from the roads until the ongoing El Niño is done.

This is because many have reported that even after boarding them, thinking they have escaped the rain, it still rains inside, making it even worse for them to remain warm and clean because water is dripping inside all over the seats.

“I recently boarded a bus only to find the seats and the floor totally wet.

“I only realised after arriving in town that my white skirt was totally soaked and muddy. One of the residents shared

As far as it is concerned, it’s being assumed by many, but thousands of Kenyans are silently enduring these wet rides each time it starts to rain, especially lately.

Often times, passengers have had to leave their seats after paying the bus fare because it’s raining in the buses, an issue or situation that’s being experienced and endured by many at least daily each time it rains.

“One couple had to leave their seats to stand in the middle area of the bus to avoid being rained on.” Another one testified.

Residents have asked the Kenya National and Transport Authority (NTSA) to specifically crack down on leaking public service vehicles.
