Kenyan Dancehall artist Kimani Karuga popularly known for his stage name, KRG The Don has announced retirement from the entertainment industry.

Krg said this via his official Instagram page, where he stated that he was done with all aspects of the entertainment scene, including showbiz, influencing, controversy, and music, to focus on better things.
“That phase of my life is done nimemalizana na entertainment (music, showbiz, influencing, controversy, and series). I enjoyed every single moment from online fights, vipindire mingi pia high, and embarrassing situations. Part of Krg’s statement read:
He clearly made it clear that he would be shifting the attention to his goals, business, God, and his family. He also announced plans to venture into elective politics in the upcoming general elections.
“I want to spend my time doing better things (God, myself, family, business, and education) as I transition to politics polepole tu!! My silence will be as loud as the noise was until 2026, when you campaign tukifanya siasa safi.

KRG is yet to say the political seat he is set to vie for and has chosen to keep it a secret for the moment up until the elections near.
