Kenyan content creator Kelvin Kinuthia has opened up about the gender name that sits right with him, should anyone refer to it.
Speaking in a sit-down interview with Mungai Eve, Kinuthia said that there’s no problem with people referring to him as ‘She or He’ as long as you don’t call him ‘Bro’; he is good with anything else you might want to call him.
“Niite tuh Kinuthia. Mimi sinanga, any problem addressing me as she or he, I will not get offended at all.” Kinuthia explained.
According to him, it sounds awkward when people refer to him as ‘Bro, reason why he did a TikTok video recently addressing the public who were addressing the content creator as ‘Bro’ because he feels it is likes degrading his brand.

Addressing his sexuality, he responded by saying that it is an awkward question and people should mind their own business, and there are more serious things to worry about taking place in the country than wanting to know one’s gender.
He also spoke about his dressing, saying that he is used to dressing the way he does and doesn’t see changing anytime soon because ‘Kinuthia‘ is also a brand, adding that he likes the way he is.”People have already learned that kila mtu ashugulike na maisha yake.”
Kinuthia named Diana Marua and Azziad as the individuals whom he looked up to when he started doing content and acknowledged them for setting a good example and inspiring many.
Kinuthia shares her secret to getting endorsements:
Kinuthia said that for most of them, he looked for them rather than just waiting for the companies to reach out to you.
He basically visits the place and meets the manager.
“Most of them hua zinajileta zingine hua naenda navisit shops napata the owner is a fan ni vile hajapata good communication because some clients hu fear kupiga number inakuanga kwa Instagram because wanaonganag n kama wataget conned na wanatakanga siku watapatananga na wewe watakuambilia hapo.” Kinuthia explained.
Kinuthia advised small upcoming content creators to be patient and keep putting in the work, promising them that their time will come and they will get all they’ve wanted to have.
