Kimani Mbugua’s father Recounts the First time His Son’s problems started

Kimani Mbugua’s father has disclosed the first time his son, Kimani Mbugua, started falling out of place.

In an interview with Oga Obinna, his father provided an update, assuring that Kimani is now in a safe environment, closely watched by family and neighbours.

The journey into Kimani’s mental health issues began in February 2020. His father recalls the day it became apparent that something was seriously wrong and thanks to Kimani Mbugua’s girlfriend he had a grasp of what happened.

Subsequent inquiries found that Kimani’s mental health problems were made worse by narcotics he had been exposed to during a birthday celebration.

The father goes on saying that according to what he was told, his son’s drink had been spiked with what is believed to have been cocaine a hard narcotic drug that was making him unconscious and loose his mind.

“My daughter aliona kwa glass yake kuna white substances zinaekwa. Na anaambiwa kunywa na anatapika na anaanguka. So I told my daughter if we could consolidate the phone, but how it got lost, we don’t know. We wanted evidence that was there.

“I did my investigations, and I found out most of his friends were on those things. So I concluded my son was spiked. And the effect, hard drugs,” he narrated.

Kimani Mbugua a renowned journalist has been battling bipolar disorder for a while now.

However with the disorder unpredictable, it’s hard for Kimani Mbugua to control his feelings which explains the on and off outbursts seen on his social media pages.
