Kenyan Rapper Khaligraph Jones, has shared the reason for his success in music level.
Speaking on an interview with Andrew kibe the Nataka iyo Doh hit maker said that internet was the reason as to why many people recognized his work and even the public recognized his efforts.
It’s the same thing that motivated him as well to keep grinding hard despite the background he had.
“Internet ilisaidia when I was in the beginning..”
He went on saying that the internet made him be recognized until the love was drove to the broadcasting channels and radios, in the sense that the public was demanding his music to be played.
Khaligraph Jones also advised artists that they should keep working as some day their efforts will be recognized and be rewarded.
According to Jones, the Kenyan artists are at war with the media as they don’t really play much of their music reason as to why the fans or rather the public have lost interest in the Kenyan music because they are used to listening music from other artists.
This becomes a challenge to the artists because the moment their music is played even if they have been in the industry in the past 10 years their efforts are not recognized because they are not known, the best advice for them from the award winning rapper is to be unique and also use their social media platforms to push their music.
The father of four also told the public and fellow artists that something that they should ensure they have in their pockets to thrive is the public, working to gain the crowd then they would’ve made it in the industry as the public will even be helping in pressuring the media to play the artists song.
“Kama crowd imekubali imekubali….That’s it.”
He also shared his 3 best collaborative songs that were :
Wavy alongside Sarkodie, Hao alongside Masauti and Khali Cartel Series as well alongside young different and existing rappers.
