Kenya’s Khalighraph Jones, Wakadinali, Sauti Sol’s Bien and Aaron Rimbui have been nominated for Soundcity’s MVP Awards.

Khalighraph Jones’ Hiroshima featuring Dax has been nominated for the Best Hip-hop category and are also facing Wakadinali in the same category for their song, Geri inengi featuring Sir Bwoy.

Bien and Aaron Rimbui’s Mbwe Mbwe will be competing for the title of Song of year.

On a recent interview Producer Ares has said that Khaligraph is the reason Wakadinali crew is famous. He disclosed that the very first time Khaligraph heard of what Wakadinali were doing, Khaligraph approached Ares and told him to record them saying he would take care of the expenses, “Khalighraph was the one who brought wakadinali, and paid for their first session,” he said.
