The Kenya Influencer Awards kicked off on August 19 and saw a couple of well-known Kenyan entrepreneurs and influencers emerge as winners. The event was held at the Sarit expo center.
Below is a list of Kenyan celebrities that emerged as winners:
1. SilvaKido
Topping the list is our very own journalist, Silvakido of SPM Buzz, who walked out with the award as the best news influencer of the year.
Silva Kido’s work has been tremendous in the last few months, when he has been congratulated for the hard work and determination he is putting into what he does.
Personally, we as the SPM Fraternity are so glad to have our very own come out as a leader, and we are proud of you, Silva. Keep going, and we wish you all the best as you keep representing and airing people’s interests out there.
2. Sandra Mbuvi
Second is Thicky Sandra, who happens to be the daughter of former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko. She is currently a business entrepreneur who also thrives in what she does, having established quite a few businesses that add to her net worth.
She took home the award for the most influential businesswoman, surpassing quite a number of people who were eyeing the trophy.
3. BabushkaKenya
Third is Babushkakenya, who took home the award of Inspirational Influencer of the Year.
Babushkakenya, who is disabled, has proved time and again that disability is not inability, as he has always made his fans happy with the dance moves he makes as well as put smiles on people’s faces by surprising them with random gifts.
Despite that, he is also a second-year law student from the University of Kisii, and the fact that his work indeed didn’t go unrecognized goes a long way to telling you that there’s nothing that won’t be recognized as long as you have consistency and a clean heart with what you are doing.
4. Jaiden Fabio
Fourth is Jaiden Fabio, who took the male actor influencer of the year award. Jaiden is a well-known actor, having starred in the most popular Kenyan series called ‘Maria.
He is also a talented scriptwriter, brand influencer, and sometimes creates content.
5. Billy Miya
Fifth is Billy Miya, who bagged the award for male media personality.
Billy Miya is an award-winning radio personality who works at Radio 47. He is also an MC aside from being a radio host.
6. Kate Thuku
Sixth is Kate Thuku, who won the award as the female social influencer of the year.
Aside from that, she is a content creator, commercial model, and brand promoter.
