Below is a compilation of Kenyan Celebrities who admitted having battled with Alcohol addiction back in the day, but at the moment they are clean, were born again, and no longer indulge in drinking or abusing drugs.

1. Kabi Wa Jesus
Kenyan Content Creator, father, and husband to Milly Wa Jesus admitted having been abusing drugs back then, to the point of even smoking cigars. And all this happened back then, when he used to reside at Kayole, because of the kind of people he had surrounded himself with.

Kabi stopped abusing drugs in the year 2019 after he was diagnosed with Tuberculosis and was advised to quit drinking and smoking.

2. Alex Mwakideu
Radio Presenter Alex Mwakideu admitted to having been drinking for a period of 14 years before he decided to stop doing it.

Alex quit drinking because he decided to abide by his mother’s guidelines, who advised him that drinking would just put him in a critical condition; hence, he opted to quit after the demise of his mother as a sign that he honored her word.

3. DNA
Kenyan artists based in the US who also said they used to indulge in alcohol explained that their decision to do so was out of peer pressure from mates.

He also explained that the act drained him, especially mentally and healthwise, as he lost a lot of weight from it.

4. Jimwat
Kenyan youngster Jimwat, best known for his banger Under 18, admitted to drinking heavily to the point that he used to spend a lot of money more than he used to pay the bills.

Jimwat would even sleep on the bar counter out of the way; he would knock out after drinking.

5. Comedian Njoro
On Churchill’s show, comedian Njoro opened up back in the year 2020 to be battling depression and alcoholism. This was when the public offered to support him by taking him into rehab, where he served a total of 3 months, after which he came out thanking the public and thanking heavens for giving him another chance.

6. Nana Gichaga
C.E.O Nana used to abuse alcohol back then, saying the reason was to find an escape from the things that used to bother her.

Lately, she announced that she would be celebrating her new achievement in life, which is becoming sober, and she is now clean.
