Kaveve Kazoze hitmaker Ngesh speaks on why she turned down 2mbili’s offer.

Kenyan uprising artist Ngesh

Speaking in an interview on Jalango TV, she said that she didn’t want to look bad because the song was for the whole squad and not hers alone. Her not taking the 2Mbilis offer to help her reach greater heights by connecting her with other artists was because of the above reason of wanting to move together as a group and not as an individual, saying she is loyal to her group and wouldn’t disown them.

“Kitu ilifanye tusiskizane ni hivo venye alikua anataka kunipush solo na ngoma sio yangu sa yeye amenichukulia juu, na hawa wenzangu ndio tulitoa na wao wako chini sa na mimi lazima ningeangalia hivo ndio maana nikaachana nayo,” Ngesh clarified.

She said that she wouldn’t have taken 2Mbili’s offer because she would look sentimental and selfish because the song wasn’t hers alone.

The Spider Gang Clan that was also part of the interview expressed disappointment at how they used to be left behind because Ngesh used to be picked up and run shows all by herself without the rest of the crew.

Ngesh urged Kenyan YouTuber and comedian 2Mbili to reach out to them should he want to and work with them as a group without exempting anyone. And it is not out of bad blood that she chose not to take his offer; she just wanted inclusivity for everyone who was part of the song.

Ngesh rose to fame after releasing ‘Kaveve Kazoze’ with her squad Spider Clan Gang. The song trended all over the country. What was more exciting and caught the attention of many was the fact that there was just one lady in a group of three male youths who not only were good with the flow but also called out Nyandarua’s cash crop to being potatoes, a line she says in the song as ‘Waru’. 2mbili, on the other hand, approached and did an interview with her that put her in the spotlight, making many people and companies approach the lady offering support, some of them being UDA-nominated Senator Karen Nyamu and even former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko, who surprised her with goodies to better herself.
