Kate Actress Claps back at people who think her trip to the US was State Sponsored

Published on

Award-winning actress and influencer Catherine Kamau, known by her stage name ‘Kate Actress’, has confirmed that her United States trip was self-sponsored.

She took to her social media to address and refute recent claims that her latest trip was funded by Kenyan taxes, saying that her trip was fully self-sponsored and not sponsored by the state.

This comes after she posted a picture of herself the Kenyan President William Ruto and Kenyan creative Eddie Butita in the United States, something that angered some fans who decided to lay all their pain on her, telling her she should enjoy the trip while it lasts, among other negative things.

Continue enjoying tax-paying monies. It’s sweet as it shortly sits. The next stop should be Maka.” A fan wrote:.

Kate Actress, who was keen on what her fans were saying about her post, immediately responded to the fan, telling them that her trip is self-sponsored and not funded by the government.

Your thinking is so limited, woiye; some of us don’t need government funds to thrive; this trip is fully sponsored; this is me investing in my brand and minding my business. You should try it.” Kate Actress responded to a concerned fan who was worried they were using government tax for trips.

She went on to emphasize the importance of not making assumptions about people’s financial situations based on appearance through her Instagram Stories, as well as reminding them that her brand is big and she is just getting started for greater things to come.

Kate Actress’s response serves as a reminder to approach social media with empathy and understanding, recognizing that there’s often more to the story than meets the eye.

I am transitioning into production. I believe I have earned enough equity over the years to kick off this new endeavor; however, I am grateful for the opportunities such as this to network for resources and mentorship. Asante sana @USEmbassy Kenya for the invite.” Kate wrote on Twitter.
