Senator Karen Nyamu was dismissed from Parliamentary proceeding yesterday after it was noted that she wasn’t dressing decently.
Karen Nyamu has been on the headlines lately because of petty issues and yesterday Speaker Amason Kingi noted how she was dressed and said that she was going against the house rules.
“Rule no 5… Senator Karen Nyamu she has entered this house with sleeveless dress…”
The Speaker then read out the rules as far as the dressing code is concerned.
“As per senator Nyamu I am going to read, the speaker’s rule no 5 the senators are required not to enter the chambers without being properly dressed……… I am going to ask you to leave the chambers, go dress properly and come back.”
This when Karen left the parliamentary proceedings.
Karen has been defended by ladies as she was wearing a simple casual dress that was a patterned kitenge skirt, a black sleeveless top and olive green shoes.
Ladies have come out saying that she was dressed good and others should follow suit.
