Former State House spokeswoman Kanze Dena has shared unknown details of her personal life in a post shared to mark her son’s 18th birthday.

Being one known to keep her private life off social media, Kanze indeed took us by surprise with her post where she not only talked of her journey as mother; but confessed to struggles many knew nothing about.

Celebrating her son’s 18th birthday, Kanze Dena opened up about a time she struggled with self esteem to a point she started doubting herself as a good mother.

Today you officially have permission to be on social media… I want you to know that my greatest memory was the day we watched woman without limits. It was the first time I shared my battle with low self esteem and I did mention that I doubted if I was a good mother. Kanze Dena wrote.

Although the rumored mother of two did not get into details of her struggles, what she made known is that her son is the reason she pulled through.

From her post, Kanze mentioned how understanding her son has always been despite her being too strict on him.

Almost 7/8yrs ago you held my hand, hugged me for like 10yrs “mum you are the best mother I could ever ask for.. you are kali but you are my friend and I know you love me. I love you mummie.” Those words came right back today as I stayed up to say another prayer for your next season. She wrote.

Looking back she however remains grateful to have faced such struggles that later shaped the woman she has since become.
