Kenyan media personality Kamene Goro has urged the public to stop embracing mediocrity.

Speaking through her social media page, Kamene said that people should, by all accounts, portray high levels of professionalism when it comes to spelling some words.

She asked people to stop being ignorant and search for the name if they aren’t certain of the pronunciation, and to avoid ignoring small things that end up being a problem later.

“Look, if you are not sure or don’t know how to spell a word, ask. Make Google your friend!

I’m tired! Ah! Ignorance is not bliss, or just stick to a language you know. Let’s not be comfortable being mediocre.”

According to her, there’s nothing wrong with digging deep and knowing something before you write or say it, as it saves you from unnecessary inconveniences and embarrassments.
