Kenyan female artist Jovial has shared the reason why she disagrees with coparenting more, especially having children when one’s unprepared.
Jovial shared a statement via her social media page saying that coparenting has to be one of the hardest things on earth because them disagreements and fights end up hurting an innocent child who has nothing to do with their issues.
“Co-parenting has to be one of the most draining things on earth! In most cases, one party is usually still bitter. Wakidhani, they are getting back at you when the real victim is the child.”Jovia’s statement read:
She goes on, without doubt faulting friends and colleagues who fail to advise the ladies who want to become mothers to prepare for the worst because motherhood comes with quite a number of challenges, and one of them is having differences with your partner.
“When you tell your close people you have a baby, watakutisha na story za body changes ujitayarishe kumbe, you need to prepare yourself mentally and psychologically!”

She concludes by urging women to have ladies when they’re ready, not just because someone is pressuring them to have one.
“Have that child when you are ready to have that child.” Jovial said.
