A section of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport will close doors ahead of the visit of Biden’s First wife visit to Kenya.
According to the statement issued by the Kenya Airport Authority, that terminal 2 will be closed on Friday and Sunday at specific hours.
“JKIA will be facilitating a VVIP movement in the course of this month. Terminal two should be cleared of any aircraft and vehicles on Sunday, February 26 from 0600 hours to 1800 hours local time.”
Business will resume again on Sunday that’s the departure day of Jill Biden that will take place as from 6am-6pm.
Joe Bidens’s wife will be in Kenya for a five-day visit, where she will reaffirm the US Government’s investments in Africa as well as help in empowering the youth and Women.
She went on to her Twitter page, informing the public and her fans on her next stopover from US.
“Today, I’m headed to Africa for my sixth visit to the continent, and my first as first lady…. I’ve always believed that supporting women and youth across the world is critical to our common future, with education, health and empowerment at the heart of it all.”
Her tour has started today as she kicks off with Namibia first, after which she will land in Kenya on Friday.
“My trip begins in Namibia… Then in Kenya, I will hear from those affected by the ongoing historic drought and food insecurity.”
A statement released explained her tour essence,
“The purpose of her trip is to reaffirm the US Government’s investments in Africa, not just in their governments, but in their people and to continue her work to empower women and young people.”
