Tycoon Jimmy Wanjigi is making headlines once again, not just because he was arrested and released on cash bail but the message he has sent to Kenyan President William Ruto.
Speaking to the press just outside court earlier today, Jimmy Wanjigi addressed the public, starting by thanking his family for standing with him the entire time when they were being harassed by the policemen.
He went further to address President William Ruto, challenging him to face him on the political field and leave his family alone.
“I want to address William Ruto here. The courts today have upheld the constitution of this country, and you seem to be trying to live in an era that has long passed.
William Ruto, why do you fear me? If you fear me being a man, come and deal with me properly, kiwanjani ya siasa, not in my home terrorizing my families and not in these courts. You are afraid that we are redefining the politics of this nation.” Jimmy Wanjigi said.
He concluded by saying that he remains unshaken and should be handled differently on the political field.
Currently, Businessman Jimny Wanjigi has been released on a personal bond of Ksh10 million after being arrested and detained at Kamukunji Police Station on Monday.
Wanjigi appeared in court on Tuesday, where he was ordered to surrender his passport pending a ruling scheduled for September 12 on whether he will enter a plea.
