Jalang’o reveals what made him reject the 2024 Finance Bill

Published on

Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwour, whom many know as ‘Heavy J Baba’ Jalang’o, has rejected the 2024 Finance Bill.

Jalang’o, who is currently trending on Twitter (X), has amazed many citizens by rejecting the Finance Bill earlier today in parliament, where he said he was not going to support it and rejected it.

I reject the Finance Bill 2024; immediately it touched around the common mwanainchi. I looked back and had to make this choice that I have made today. Most of you know that I am a friend of the president. I spoke to him, and he knows very well that this is my stand.” Jalang’o said.

This is actually a surprise to many because Jalang’o was always seen close with the president, and nobody expected him to reject the bill. Jalang’o, however, in his defense, said he decided to reject the bill because it touched on things affecting the common mwananchi.

Immediately, the bill touched around everything that revolves around the common person, that is, the cars. I looked back and saw the whole generation of lang’ata having their voices so loud, even after the amendments. I had to make the choice I have made today.” Jalango said.
