Actress Jacky Vike popularly known as Awinja is among the few celebrities who have managed to keep off their private lives off social media for years now.
For years many have wondered what goes on in her private life off social media. This is because even after having her son, she kept him off social media for years until recently when she finally unveiled him to the world.
Her baby daddy however remains on the low despite working in the media industry. Asked why she keeps her private life offline, Jacky Vike ‘Awinja’ told Nairobi News that she is not one who enjoys publicizing herself unless it’s business related.
FANS REACT TO ANITA SOINA CLAIMING SHE WANTS TO BE A SUBMISSIVE WIFE
She went on to explain that this is the same reason she avoids dating famous people whether working in the same industry or not.
If I am to date someone who is in the creative industry, it has to be one who is behind the cameras. Awinja opened up.
No celebrities allowed
Speaking on the same, Awinja admitted to having been hit on by fellow celebrities – however being a private person she often turns the proposals down.
Yes, I have been hit on by fellow celebrities but I have never dated one. It’s just not my thing. Napenda watu wanakaa vile wanataka (I like people living the way they want). The actress went on.
Asked what she looks for in a partner, Awinja mentioned that a persons character matters to her more what he brings to the table.
I wouldn’t go public with my relationship. I believe in keeping things private, but not a secret. I don’t have a preference for men, because I think preferences are all based on fantasy. I lean more towards someone’s character.
This is because in the past she has had to deal with character development – but in all remains grateful as it helped her learn the hard way.
And talking of character, I have been subjected to character development, but I too have served the same tea. Awinja said adding;
Yes! The guy cheated on me. When I found out, he was so remorseful. He even knelt down and cried while apologising. Then I found myself giving him another chance. What a mistake.
