Kenyan socialite and award-winning actress Jackie Matubia has opened up about why she ended up being a single mother and why she believes marriage is not a scam as many perceive it.
The award-winning actress said that, as of the moment, she is a single mother. Urging ladies to not settle for less in a recent pulse video interview, despite her two marriages having failed.
Despite the fact that society despises lone mothers, Jackie Matubia counselled against treating them any differently because they are just like any other woman or girl.
“I’m a very proud mother of two, and I feel like society diminishes mothers and single mothers. I am no less than any other woman, or any other girl out there.”
The mother and two also advised single mothers to invest in loving themselves and their kids first. They are the only ones who won’t turn on them like others would.
“I am a proud mother of two girls, and my focus right now is on my babies and building an empire for them, because hao hawatakutoka na hakitakuramba.” Jackie shared
She, however, encouraged the public that marriage works despite her failing and stood with all those who have failed marriages to keep their heads up and for those who are being told marriage doesn’t work to be numb to those terms as marriage is a sweet feeling and a good thing that could happen to one, emphasizing that both partners ought to commit themselves to it as that is the only way it would work.
