Kenyan Artist Iyanii has shared how he was nearly shot by cops.
Speaking to King Kaka on his YouTube channel, he said that he was nearly shot having being among some of his colleagues who happened to be thugs.
Iyanii had set out to go to party with his colleagues when it all turned out a blaze on them a short while after they had finished partying in a reggae jam session.
Iyanii narrates that they left the party with his 7 other colleagues when one of his friends went and snatched a young woman’s purse and started running.
The woman immediately started screaming that she had been stolen from, calling out the thief, but since he came from the group of other members she immediately thought to herself that they probably were on the same page, and she immediately started shouting “Thieves”.
Iyanii and his colleagues were left with no choice but started to run as well as they were spotted by policemen who were close by who had seen what had happened at the spot.
Iyanii said that he ran all the way to another bus stop station, where he managed to take a vehicle that helped him escape.
That’s when the artist realized that he had missed a bullet on his arm that left a mark.
The artist went on narrating that a lady in the matatu covered his tracks and advised him to choose his company well.
Thereafter, the artist decided to reform his ways and even though he used to go back to the reggae jam session, he opted to hang alone. Something that his colleagues didn’t like and started regarding him as a snitch.
Iyanii followed his path and lived to his dream and is now a prominent Kenyan artist having done a couple of hit songs including “Good vibes Inshallah and Furaha”.
