Wife of popular Kenyan comedian Njugush, Celestine Ndinda recently opened up about the challenges and joys of managing her husband’s career. In an interview, she shared insights into their dynamic partnership, both professionally and personally.
As Njugush’s manager, Ndinda plays a crucial role in his success. She described the demanding nature of the job, often juggling work commitments with their personal lives.
“It’s a lot of work,” she admitted, “but the best part is that we can seamlessly transition from being workmates to being parents.”
Ndinda also praised Njugush for his efforts to be more romantic, a trait not typically associated with Kikuyu men.
“He sent me flowers for Mother’s Day,” she recalled with a smile. “I didn’t even think they were mine!”
To ensure a clear division of responsibilities, Ndinda and Njugush use a whiteboard in their office to outline their expectations.
“I’m his manager, so I need to be clear about what I expect from him,” she explained.

Journey to fame
Their journey together began after Njugush received his first paycheck. He used the money to move out of his parents’ home and rent his own place. However, he soon realized that the initial excitement of independence was accompanied by financial challenges.
“I had to pay a deposit, water deposit, and electricity, and it all added up quickly,” Njugush recalled.
Despite the early struggles, Njugush and Ndinda have built a successful partnership. They have become a power couple in the Kenyan entertainment industry, balancing their professional lives with their personal relationship.
