International Nigerian artists that Missed Out on the 66th Grammy Awards Ceremony

The 66th International Grammy Awards took place on Sunday and saw quite a number of artists turn up for the show, but again, very few walked out as winners.

Below is the list of the Nigerian artists that missed out on having been nominated for awards:

Davido, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr Missed Out on the 2024 Grammy Award even after having been nominated in quite a number of different categories.

Despite receiving his first Grammy nomination in three categories in November 2023, Davido failed to secure any awards. Burna Boy, who had the potential to become the first Nigerian artist to win a Grammy twice in a major category, saw all four of his nominations slip through his fingers: ‘Best African Music category,Best Global album, and Best Melodic Rap album.

Ayra Starr, nominated for Best African Music Performance for her song ‘Rush’ that has over 300 million views, was nominated alongside Asake and Olamide’s Amapiano, but ultimately lost the award to South African musician Tyla.
