“I’m making more money than them” Bahati on why he does not feel bad despite loosing the MP Position

Published on

Kenyan artist and former Member of Parliament aspirant Kevin Bahati has opened up, sharing the reason why he doesn’t really worry despite missing the MP position in Mathare constituency.

Speaking during an interview with the press, Bahati said that him losing the seat doesn’t change much, as he even makes much more than what the members of Parliament get paid.

To confirm his point, he even posed a question, asking the names of any members of Parliament driving a car that he bought his wife Diana recently.

“Mimi niliambiwa niwache, sikushindwa… and I can still help the Mathare people… even without being an MP because I am making much more money than the MPs.

Kuna Ma MP wengi hawaendeshi ile Range Rover nilinunulia Diana.” Bahati said.

He, however, clarified sharing his thoughts after losing the parliamentary seat, saying he was learning and him loosing doesn’t mean that he can’t do the good for the people of Mathare.

Deep Connection Between Rigathi Gachagua and Bahati

Responding to why he loves hanging out with Kenyan Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, he said that he prefers roaming around a times with him because he is a good friend and mentor to him.

The Deputy President is just a good friend, mentor, and from a personal level, he listens to me not as a celebrity but as an ordinary person.”Bahati explained.

The duo also said that the reason why they have been taking a break from releasing music is because they have been focusing on other projects that are adding to their net worth and list of achievements.

As we speak ‘The Bahatis’ are the first Kenyan Celebrity couple to have released a reality show that is currently trending on Netflix. They also promised that more is set to come and fans should anticipate more than just their music as this is the Bahatis year.
