Bishop Ben Kiengei of JCM Church has sincerely apologized after a controversy over hurtful comments he made about Pritty Vishy.
The incident occurred during an interview on a local station, where Bishop Kiengei criticized Pritty Vishy’s appearance. In a video clip shared widely on social media, Kiengei was heard saying, “Pritty Vishy was preying on Stevo Simple Boy’s fame. Anataka kujulikana lakini kwa kunona. Si mrembo, hawezi kuimba, ama kuact… Pritty Vishy naye ni kunona tu. She’s not appealing.” His remarks implied that her looks were unappealing and criticized her public persona.

Apology and Future Commitments
In light of the backlash, Bishop Kiengei took to social media to apologize directly to Pritty Vishy.
“I am really sorry, and I take this moment to highly apologize for mentioning you in the wrong way. I went overboard and addressed you inappropriately,” he stated.
He urged Vishy to find it in her heart to forgive him, emphasizing that such behavior would not occur again. Furthermore, Kiengei acknowledged his mistake and extended an invitation to Vishy to visit JCM Church, indicating his desire to make amends.
“Pole, my sister, and you are very welcome at JCM Church, the church for all people,” he added.
The controversy unfolded just days after Pritty Vishy shared her journey of self-improvement with her fans. She had recently announced, “I’m still in the beauty lab, working on myself, and once I’m done, you’ll love it even more.” This commitment to self-love and transformation stood in contrast to the negative remarks made by Kiengei.
The incident further highlights the ongoing challenges celebrities face regarding public scrutiny and personal growth. Bishop Kiengei’s apology also serves as a reminder of the need for sensitivity and respect in public discourse.
