Funny pic right? Yeah, I’m seated on a toilet seat in an airplane. You see it’s the little things. Once upon a time I was 165kg and I could barely fit on an airplane seat let alone use the loo. It was an embarrassing time. Coupled with body shaming veiled as jokes both online and offline it hit hard. Nowadays I don’t take things like this likely, I’m still on a journey plagued sometimes at 115kg but surely not where I used to be, Willis Raburu wrote, adding;
I thank @nairobibariatric and still continue to urge insurance companies to allow people to go through these services. I’m not ashamed of it all because I know how it felt, I know my struggles, I know my pain and I have tried it all. No matter what you choose to do to get fit and lose weight, so long as it’s legal and has a degree of safety and proper scientific backing, go for it. Your body is your biggest investment. I’m rooting for you and I’m proud of your efforts, keep moving. Successful people look like you.
