Kenyan media personality and news anchor Victoria Rubadiri has celebrated her daughter as she turns one year old.
Speaking through her social media page, she shared a picture of her daughter, who goes by the name ‘Neema, and gave a brief description of her, where she recalled having conceived her back then when she was in college.
Rubadiri wrote a long thread explaining how the journey has been despite facing challenges back then when she was on campus trying to make ends meet for her and her daughter. She celebrated her daughter as she is stepping out to another phase in her life where she is looking to join a university.
“Dear Neema, I can’t believe this day is here. A good 19 years ago, I was a college student faced with the reality of becoming your mother. Then you were something to behold—fragile, helpless, and brand new to the world.
Now I’m releasing you as a strong, beautiful, intelligent, and kind young woman. A whole, entire university student. You are still something to behold. I am so proud of you and can’t wait to see how you change this world. I love you.”
Her fans and fellow journalists congratulated her and wished her daughter all the best.
Rubadiri, who is currently a news anchor, did recall the first time she started motherhood, which was back then when she was on campus.
Victoria noted that she finished campus and started working as a single mother. The journalist thanked God for favoring her and seeing her through all the way to where she is at the moment.
